Retrieval of Emojis and Smilies

Within our WordPress blog we use graphic emojis (or smilies), i.e. small graphic files expressing feelings, which are obtained from external servers. Here, the providers of the servers collect the IP addresses of the users. This is necessary so that the emojie files can be transmitted to the users' browsers. The emojie service is provided by Automattic Inc, 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. Automattic's privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/. The server domains used are s.w.org and twemoji.maxcdn.com, which to our knowledge are so-called Content Delivery Networks, i.e., servers that serve only to transmit files quickly and securely, and the users' personal information is deleted after transmission. The use of emojis is based on our legitimate interests, i.e. interest in an attractive design of our online offer according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO.

Contact

When contacting us (e.g. via contact form, e-mail, telephone, or via social media), the users’ details will be used to process the contact request and its handling in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b. User data may be stored in a customer relationship management system ("CRM system") or comparable enquiry organization. We delete the enquiries if they are no longer required. We check the necessity every two years; furthermore, the statutory archiving obligations apply.

Jameda Seal and Widget

Within our online offer, we integrate the seal and/or the widget of the physician evaluation portal Jameda, offered by Jameda GmbH, St.-Cajetan-Str. 41, 81669 Munich, Germany. A widget is a functional and content element integrated within our online offer that displays variable information. The seal also works in a similar way and can contain dynamic and variable content. Although the corresponding content is displayed within our online offering, it is retrieved from Jameda's servers at that moment. Only in this way can the current content always be shown, especially the current rating. To do this, a data connection must be established from the website called up within our online offer to Jameda and Jameda receives certain technical data (access data) that is necessary for the content to be delivered. However, this data is only used to provide the content and is not stored or used in any other way. According to information from Jameda, no cookies are set by the seal or widget, nor are users of our online service otherwise "tracked", i.e. their visit to our online service is not noted or otherwise stored. The IP address is processed and not stored by Jameda solely for transmitting the widget to the browser, i.e. as a necessary technical step. Further processing of the data by Jameda and its assignment to the visit to our online offer can only take place when the users click on the widget or seal. With the help of the Jameda seal or widget, we can inform the users of our online offer about our ratings at Jameda. We place the seal or widget based on our justified interest in informing interested parties or patients about our services in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f. DSGVO. Users can find further information on the processing of data in connection with the use of the Jameda widget and seal, as well as on their rights of objection and other rights of affected parties, in Jameda's data protection declaration.

Newsletter - ActiveCampaign

ActiveCampaign, LLC (“ActiveCampaign”) provides a marketing platform that allows clients to reach their customers, to understand how their customers interact with those communications and other content, and to customize marketing based on their customers’ interests. This Privacy Policy explains how ActiveCampaign collects, uses and discloses information from job applicants, website visitors, and our current and prospective clients(“clients” or “you”) when you use our websites, platform, mobile application, and other online products and services (collectively, the “Services”) that link to this policy or when you otherwise interact with us. This policy also describes the personal information practices of our related bodies corporate (including ActiveCampaign Australia Pty Limited and ActiveCampaign Ireland Limited), who help us provide the Services. However, this policy does not apply to the information that our clients import into our Services, such as the email addresses of your customers or business contacts (“Contact Data”) or to the end users, customers, or business contacts to whom that Contact Data may belong. For additional information about the use of Contact Data in connection with our Services, please consult our Terms of Service, available at https://www.activecampaign.com/terms-of-service/.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy whenever you access the Services or otherwise interact with us to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.

However, the dispatch service provider does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass the data on to third parties.

Newsletter - Measuring Success

The newsletters contain a so-called "web-beacon", i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from our server when the newsletter is opened, or from the server of a mailing service provider if we use one. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information such as information on the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are initially collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined by means of the IP address) or the access times. Statistical surveys also include determining whether newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our intention nor, if used, that of the dispatch service provider to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users. Unfortunately, it is not possible to cancel the performance measurement separately, in which case the entire newsletter subscription must be cancelled.

Hosting and E-Mailing

The hosting services we use serve to provide the following services: Infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, e-mail dispatch, security services as well as technical maintenance services that we use for operating this online offer. In doing so, we or our hosting provider process inventory data, contact data, content data, contract data, usage data, meta, and communication data of customers, interested parties, and visitors of this online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure provision of this online offer in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO in conjunction with Art. 28 DSGVO (conclusion of contract processing agreement).

Collection of Access Data and Log Files

We, or our hosting provider, based on our legitimate interests as defined in Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f. DSGVO data about every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files). The access data includes the name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, transferred data volume, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited site), IP address, and the requesting provider. For security reasons (e.g. to clarify misuse or fraud), log file information is stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Data whose further storage is required for evidence purposes is excluded from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage so-called website tags via an interface (and thus integrate e.g. Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offer). The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal user data. With regard to the processing of users' personal data, we refer to the following information on Google services.
Usage guidelines.

Google Analytics

Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC ("Google"). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website by the user is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google is certified under the Privacy-Shield-Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with the European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active). Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our website by users, to compile reports on the activities within this website and to provide us with further services associated with the use of this website and the internet. In doing so, pseudonymous user profiles of the users can be created from the processed data. We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the user's browser is not merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the online offer to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Further information on the use of data by Google, setting and objection options, can be found in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and in the settings for the display of advertising by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated). Users’ personal data will be deleted or anonymized after 14 months.

Google Universal Analytics

We use Google Analytics in the design as "universal analytics" refers to a Google Analytics method in which user analysis is based on a pseudonymous user ID, thus creating a pseudonymous profile of the user with information from the use of various devices (so-called "cross-device tracking").

Target Group Formation with Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics in order to display the advertisements placed within advertising services of Google and its partners only to those users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who show certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products, which are determined on the basis of the websites visited), which we transmit to Google (so-called "remarketing" or "Google Analytics Audiences"). With the help of remarketing audiences, we also want to ensure that our ads match the potential interest of users.

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active). We use the AdSense service, which displays ads on our website and pays us for displaying or otherwise using them. For these purposes, usage data such as the click on an advertisement and the IP address of the user are processed, whereby the IP address is shortened by the last two digits. Therefore, the processing of user data is pseudonymous. We use Adsense with personalized ads. Google draws conclusions about the interests of users based on the websites visited or apps used by users and the user profiles thus created. Advertisers use this information to tailor their campaigns to these interests, which is beneficial to users and advertisers alike. Google considers ads to be personalized when collected or known information determines or influences ad selection. This includes, but is not limited to, previous searches, activity, site visits, app usage, demographic and location information. Specifically, this includes demographic targeting, interest category targeting, remarketing, as well as targeting of match lists and audience lists uploaded to DoubleClick Bid Manager or Campaign Manager. For more information about Google's use of data, opt-in and opt-out options, please see Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and Google's advertising display settings (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Google Adsense with non-personalized Ads

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) the services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, ("Google"). We use Adsense with non-personalized ads. The ads are not displayed based on user profiles. Non-personalized ads are not based on previous user behavior. Targeting is based on contextual information, including rough (e.g., on location level) geographic targeting based on current location, content on the current website or app, and current search terms. Google prohibits any personalized targeting, including demographic targeting and targeting based on user lists. For more information about Google's use of data, opt-out and opt-in options, please see Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and Google's advertising display settings (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Google AdWords and Conversion Measurement

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) the services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, ("Google"). Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active). We use the Google "AdWords" online marketing process to place ads on the Google advertising network (e.g., in search results, in videos, on web pages, etc.) to be displayed to users who have a presumed interest in the ads. This allows us to better target ads for and within our online services in order to show users only ads that potentially match their interests. For example, if a user is shown ads for products that he or she has been interested in on other websites, this is called "remarketing". For these purposes, when you visit our website and other websites on which the Google advertising network is active, Google will execute code directly by Google and incorporate so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user's device (instead of cookies, comparable technologies can also be used). This file records which websites the user has visited, what content he is interested in and which offers the user has clicked on, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time and other information on the use of the online offer. We also receive an individual "conversion cookie." The information obtained with the help of the cookie is used by Google to compile conversion statistics for us. However, we only learn the anonymous total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. We do not receive any information that personally identifies users. User information is processed pseudonymously within the Google advertising network. This means that Google does not store and process, for example, the name or e-mail address of the user, but processes the relevant data cookie-related within pseudonymous user profiles. I.e. from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who that cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA. Further information on the use of data by Google, setting and objection options, can be found in the Google privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and in the settings for the display of advertising by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Google Doubleclick

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. We use the Google "Doubleclick" online marketing process to place ads on the Google advertising network (e.g., in search results, in videos, on web pages, etc.). Double Click is characterized by the fact that ads are displayed in real time based on the presumed interests of users. This allows us to display ads for and within our online services in a more targeted manner, so that we only show users ads that potentially match their interests. The IP address of the user is also recorded, whereby this is shortened within member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and only in exceptional cases is it transferred in full to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google may also combine the above-mentioned information with information from other sources. If the user subsequently visits other websites, advertisements tailored to his or her presumed interests can be displayed on the basis of his or her user profile. User data is processed pseudonymously within the Google advertising network. This means that Google does not store and process, for example, the name or e-mail address of the user, but processes the relevant data on a cookie-related basis within pseudonymous user profiles. I.e. from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who that cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected by Google marketing services about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA. Further information on the use of data by Google, setting and objection options, can be found in the Google privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and in the settings for the display of advertising by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Facebook-Pixel, Custom Audiences and Facebook-Conversion

Within our online offer, the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), is used due to our legitimate interests in analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes. Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active). On the one hand, the Facebook pixel enables Facebook to determine visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook Pixel to display the Facebook Ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who exhibit certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook Ads correspond to the potential interest of users and do not appear to be annoying. With the help of the Facebook Pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook Ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users are redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook Ad (so-called "conversion"). The processing of data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook's Data Use Policy. Accordingly, general information on the display of Facebook Ads, in the Facebook Data Usage Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy. Specific information and details about the Facebook pixel and its functionality can be found in the Facebook help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616. You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and use of your data to display Facebook Ads. To control what types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions for usage-based advertising settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform-independent, which means they apply to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices. You may also opt-out of the use of cookies for audience measurement and advertising purposes by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the U.S. website (http://www.aboutads.info/choices) or the European website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).

Bing Ads

Within our online offer, we set within our online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer in the sense of Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) we use the conversion and tracking tool "Bing Ads" from Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. In doing so, Microsoft stores cookies on the users' devices in order to enable an analysis of the use of our online offer by the users, if users have accessed our online offer via a Microsoft Bing ad (so-called "conversion measurement"). In this way, Microsoft and we can recognize that someone has clicked on an ad, been redirected to our online offer and reached a previously determined target page (so-called "conversion page"). We only learn the total number of users who clicked on a Bing ad and were then redirected to the conversion page. No IP addresses are stored. No personal information about the identity of the user is disclosed. Microsoft is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000KzNaAAK&status=Active). If users do not wish to participate in the Bing Ads tracking process, they can disable the use of cookies in their browser settings or use Microsoft's opt-out page at http://choice.microsoft.com/de-DE/opt-out. For more information about Microsoft Bing Ads' privacy practices and cookies, users should review Microsoft's privacy statement at https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.

Social Media Online Presence

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with the customers, interested parties, and users and to inform them about our services. We point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union. This can result in risks for the users, because the enforcement of the users' rights could be made more difficult. With regard to US providers certified under the Privacy Shield, we would like to point out that they thereby undertake to comply with the data protection standards of the EU. Furthermore, user data is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created from the user behavior and the resulting interests of the users. The user profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements within and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the users' computers, in which the usage behavior and interests of the users are stored. Furthermore, data may also be stored in the user profiles regardless of the devices used by the users (especially if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them). The processing of users' personal data is based on our legitimate interests in effective information of users and communication with users in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO. If users are asked by the respective providers to give their consent to data processing (i.e. to give their consent e.g. by ticking a check box or confirming a button), the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a., Art. 7 DSGVO. For a detailed presentation of the respective processing and the possibilities of objection (opt-out), we refer to the following linked information of the providers. Also in the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would like to point out that these can most effectively be asserted with the providers. Only the providers have access to the data of the users and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information. DSGVO), we use content or service offers from third parties in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as "content"). This always presupposes that the third-party providers of these contents are aware of the IP address of the users, as without the IP address they would not be able to send the contents to their browsers. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. We make every effort to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only to deliver the content. Third party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. Pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his or her Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, for example, by pressing the Like button or making a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your device to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to find out his or her IP address and store it. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the relevant rights and setting options to protect the privacy of users, can be found in the Facebook privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Notes on Data Processing in Connection with Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the person responsible for data processing on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as "Google". Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on the visitor's computer, to help the website analyze how the visitor uses the site. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the visitor (including the shortened IP address) is usually transferred to a Google server and stored there. Google Analytics is only used with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" on this website. This extension ensures that the IP address is made anonymous by shortening it and excludes the possibility of direct personal reference. The extension shortens the IP address of Google within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the corresponding browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. On behalf of the site operator, Google will use the information collected to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide further services to the site operator in connection with the use of the website and the Internet (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). The legitimate interest in the data processing lies in the optimization of this website, the analysis of the use of the website and the adaptation of the contents. The interests of the users are sufficiently protected by the pseudonymisation. Google LLC. is certified according to the so-called Privacy Shield (list entry here) and guarantees on this basis an appropriate level of data protection. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month. The collection by Google Analytics can be prevented by adjusting the cookie settings for this website. The collection and storage of the IP address and the data generated by cookies can also be refused at any time with effect for the future. The corresponding browser plugin can be downloaded and installed under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The visitor can prevent the collection by Google Analytics on this website by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent future collection of data when visiting this website. Your IP address will, however, be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is used. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
